Matthew Maruccia
Chief Executive Officer
Matthew Maruccia is Chief Executive Officer for Academic Housing Partners (AHP). Matt has almost two decades of experience in the student housing industry. As CEO he is responsible for the overall vision of the company and chairs its executive and investment committee. In his career, Matt has led the acquisition of over 23,000 beds of purpose-built student apartments nationally. Matt has been a featured speaker on student housing acquisitions at National Multifamily Housing Council’s (NMHC) Student Housing Conference, Interface Student Housing Conference, IMN Student Housing Conference, Bisnow Student Housing Summit, RealShare’s Student Housing Conference, and RealShare’s Apartments Conference.
Tina Patel
Chief Financial Officer
Tina Patel serves as the Chief Financial Officer for AHP. Tina has over 15 years of experience as an accounting and finance professional in the real estate industry. Tina’s background in both public accounting and corporate finance has given her a unique perspective on how to align financial strategy with business objectives. As the CFO she is responsible for managing and reporting on the fiscal and fiduciary matters of the company and underlying properties, including reporting to investors, lenders, etc.; financial management; budgeting and forecasting; and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. She is also responsible for monitoring property performance and implementing strategies & systems to streamline processes and maximize value.
